I LOVE Lee's. I had the fortune of moving to an apartment really close to this location when I relocated to PA and this was probably the first hoagie I got, and still the best. I always get mixed cheese (or just provolone) with lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers, oil and mayo. Delicious. I don't know if they use Amoroso's bread, but whatever it is, it's perfect. Just enough bite to it, but it absorbs the sandwich's flavor well, and also stays together. Fresh ingredients - I've never had a bad tomato or wilted lettuce. My husband has had the steaks, and especially loves the meat lover's. He also gets the Italian hoagie when he wants a cold sandwich and says both are delicious. I live in Ambler now, and still occasionally run over to East Norriton to get these hoagies - and always stop when I'm in the area. I just haven't found anything comparable in the area! All Lee's Hoagie Houses are NOT created equal, and I don't think the Blue Bell location is as good (most of the locations have different owners). But if you've tried another location and haven't been impressed, give East Norriton a try. They're in the Northtowne Center, near Starbucks. One weird thing is that they only deliver for lunch, not dinner. And I once called on a Friday around 8 and they were out of rolls, so they couldn't make any more hoagies, which was weird. But like I said, I have to pick it up now, anyway, since I live outside of the delivery area.

My husband and I popped in here for lunch while we were waiting for our oil change. The restaurant was pretty packed all patrons seemed beyond satisfied with their lunch. We both ordered cheesesteaks and added mushrooms and sweet peppers as our toppings. Absolutely delicious! These cheesesteaks were better than any cheesesteak that we've had in Philadelphia. They use fresh mushrooms that were grilled (as opposed to frozen ones hat would become slimy or watery). What makes these cheesesteaks unique is the bread. It's a fresh and thick bread that is delivered from a local bakery. The bread sustains the contents of the sandwich and prevents it from collapsing or becoming soggy. Our sandwiches came with a generous heaping of fries that was more than enough for the both of us to share. The walls were adorned with fun posters and television memorabilia. Great experience and we will definitely be back.

I seriously have dreams about Lee's. I've had cheesesteaks, hoagies, and appetizers and the only suggestion I could make would be to open for breakfast so I could eat it three meals a day.

Jewish style hoagie is the way to go with mayo and hot peppers on the side. Nice hoagie place, get's the job done. Have been back,repeatedly..

Who says you have to be directly in the city to get a good Philly cheesesteak? You can leave that notion at the door when going to Lee's. My buddy told me about this place and continued to assure me that it was as good, if not better than the infamous Geno's and Pat's steaks. One day I had a hankering for a good cheesesteak but I live a half hour out of the city, but Lees? Walking distance, and finally my stubborn ass was going to give it a shot. Extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of the food, prepped in a timely manner, and the crew was very laid back and friendly. Obviously if you're looking for the experience aspect of getting a Philly cheesesteak, sure yeah go to Philadelphia and go to the icons for experience. But if you're simply in it for the food? Do yourself a favor and go to Lee's.

We are in town for a wedding and needed a quick bite to eat. This place is fantastic! The Italian with peppers is perfect. So glad we found this place on Yelp!

hoagies and steaks. Wife and I got a coupon off Restaurant.com so we gave it a shot. Owner was experienced and delegating like a pro but was training a new hire and was quite rude to the young girl. We waited for a while also even though we called ahead. I enjoyed my steak but nothing life changing. Seems like a place id try again

They have fab cheesesteaks and amazing old bay fries! Amazing! Worth every calorie! A little on the pricey side but their large steak can feed 3 people.

Real Philly cheesesteak in a real Philly deli atmosphere. You have to eat in, it's an experience! Fantastic selection of sandwiches and sides.

Now I don't give many places Five stars but Lee's Hoagies is one of the best sandwich spots I've been to well....... EVER! when I use to live in this area this was always one of my go to spots. I've had their Chicken Cheese Steak and buffalo cutlet sandwiches.... but I always went back to the Italian Cheltenham not to say that those sandwiches were bad because they were good. The Cheltenham was better it was great. Also every time I went there always treated me right.

Delicious! Steak hoagie was the bomb. Staff was friendly, place was clean, and food was on point. completely different experience from the other Lee's hoagie in blue bell. It is worth the extra time to come to this one and avoid the blue Bell one.

Second visit.. last time I asked the cashier lady what she recommended the cheese steak which was nice but no veggies.. maybe my mistake.. This time ad the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak asked for all veggies and asked for spicy.. spicy level was pretty low but the overall was nice..

Awesome little place. Exactly what it says it is, with quick service and good food. No problem at all using a Yelp deal. Definitely give it a go. Delicious bread, solid meats, and good contruction equals a satisfying sandwich or hoagie.

Decent price. Big hoagie. Great taste/flavor. If I lived in Norristown, I'd probably come here a lot. But I will stop whenever I'm driving/returning from Philly.

Hands down the best Italian hoagie I have had. This was my first time and wish I had not waited so long. Great casual atmosphere with friendly people and great music.

This place is legend! I always come here at least 2-3 times when visiting from New York (previous) or LA (current). I love the turkey and Italian hoagies!

There's one thing I always have a craving for anytime I visit family in PA: a buffalo chicken wrap. Was super sad to not see this on their ridiculously large menu, but I was pleasantly surprised how accommodating this place is! I asked the woman at the counter if they'd be able to pull that order off, and all she did was ask me how I wanted it and they made it, no questions asked, no endless explanations about extra charges for a special order. Their fries are great too. But be forewarned: one SMALL sandwich/wrap and one order of fries is more than enough to split between TWO people - not even kidding. Even if you think you're super hungry, please heed my advice and don't order your own sandwiches. In this shop, small = huge. They have a few booths to sit at, but they're not the most comfortable. I think I'll take my order to-go next time, like I saw the majority of people doing.

Lee's Hoagie House are the best hoagies in Philadelphia period. Top quality bread, meat products and the quality even envelopes the little things like the sweet peppers and freshness of lettuce and tomato. Unfortunately I like in Lake Tahoe, CA and do not get my Hoagie House fix only but 1-2 times a year while visiting family on holidays or for weddings. If you are visiting the Philadelphia greater area or new to the type of food it is a MUST because you will know what a hoagie is supposed to be. The East Norriton store is standard filled with Philadelphia sports teams clippings, entertaining banter between employees or between employees and customers about current Philly sports. Tables are clean and you feel at home and comfortable ready to ingest the best hoagie you will ever experience For $8 I got a Cheltenham style Italian hoagie which is double meat and cheese with American cheese. 2 men can split this and be happy what $4 each brought them easily. Great quality food, consistent for over the 25 years I have experienced them makes this place a jewel in the food niche of Philadelphia

Their hoagies are amazing, filling, and made quick to order~ My only gripe is their price, a tad too pricey~ Their fries are really good too, and I love their cheesesteaks as well~ If an 18 inch cheesesteak didn't cost $18, i'd be here more often~

Great sandwiches that are way huge, with pretty good service. Selection is huuuuuuuuuge. Prices are a bit on a high side, and as a first time visitor, you might want to know that the small size of sandwich will feed two adults (and I am a big eater!). Awesome cheesesteaks too...

I've never been to PA and was looking forward to going, a friend Jendi Gurtz of LocalPagesPublishing.com (a local phone book) recommended I try 'Lee's Hoagie House' for a Pennsylvania style Hoalgie while I was in the Norristown Area. So I tried there special an "Italian Hoalgie", and I loved it. I loved it so much I wanted to go back for dinner but they were closed. So I tried another place nearly accost the street, and it ruined my experience. Just cuz there in Pennsylvania doesn't mean everyone who claims to make a good one does. It actually bothered me me so much, I went back the first opportunity I had to have another one. The freshness in the bread took it over the top and the dressing gave it a nice kick. The other place was like eating a dry sponge. My guest let me try her stake Hoalgie with mushrooms, and that was good to. I can go to Pennsylvania and be happy just eating the Hoalgies. Next time I'll just get a stake with mushroom. The atmosphere was a deli / sports appeal. I don't like sports but I love the charm and love the food. It's a good get it and go. It's located in a not-so-fancy strip mall. But the quality is outstanding. Just a few doors down from a fish store you have to see nemosaquarium.com I don't know if you can bring in your lunch and hang out but I promise you will want to see there shark tank and 100's of different fish, but most of all the amazing live coral I have never seen before and I'm a diver. lee's is the best place to go for hoagies, and the prices are just right. a half hoagie is the size of a normal hoagie at any other sandwich shop, and you can easily get 2-3 meals out of it. a whole hoagie will feed at least 4 people, so they are great for tailgating and parties. my faves are the turkey and the east norriton. i love that they now serve spicy mayo and have been expanding their menu as of late. they have awesome pickles and are usually generous with them-a HUGE bonus in my book! the cheesesteaks and hot items are good too, but the hoagies are the main attraction here. staff is ok...i normally pick up my order so i don't really interact with them as much as when you eat there. but i've never had any problems on the occasions that i do stay to stuff my face there. which might be because i went to school with half of the staff, but who's to say?

I really enjoy the hoagies here. However, this is the third time in a row that my order has been messed up. Twice while ordering in person and tonight on the phone. All I can say is the music playing was loud in the background, so maybe they couldn't hear my order properly. Although I'll miss the hot peppers and "special" oil that make these hoagies great, I think I'll go elsewhere.

Okay, so I work within the complex, at Jolie--and Lee's is a place that our staff frequents on an almost daily basis. The hoagies are great, and the staff is very friendly, and the orders thus far haven't been messed up at all! The macaroni and cheese bites are phenomenal! Try the grilled chicken wrap!

Since Pudge's has been slowing (yet surely) going downhill, I've found myself going to Lee's more than a little often. Nothing against Lee's, but you must understand that years ago I would not betray Pudge's even under pain of death. But alas, they betrayed me, so I am but a nomad in the desert. The big plus with Lee's is that, golly gee, the people who work there are very friendly. "Cool", even. The food is pretty darn good too...really good. Flaws and all Pudge's still holds on the edge on steaks, but Lee's is right up there on the hoagie front. The tuna is better, for sure. I can't compare the other grill items (burgers, etc.) because I never even consider ordering them (does anybody?). Are you a Philly sports fan? Furthermore, a Flyers fan? Well you might as well move in, because this is will be your new home. The walls are literally covered with Flyers "stuff", mostly Daily News full pagers, plus all sorts of memorabilia. The TV, if on, is surely showing a game. There are a few tables to dine-in, but its all counter service, and does more takeout business anyway. In conclusion, Pudge's could very well win me back...fire the jerks ruining the place and conquer the difficult task of getting the orders right and they are back in the game. But until that happens (if it ever happens), I'll probably be spending more and more time (and money) at Lee's...and I ain't ashamed to admit it.

If you want a decent Italian hoagie & free pickels this place is ok. If you want a decent cheese steak go somewhere else. They have waffle fries that are really good but who wants a great side order with a beat sandwich.
